Our Mission
Orange Chair brings ideas to life through collaborative design, innovative thinking, creative problem solving to ensure a dependable execution. We create custom commercial seating that meets the highest standards with respect of form, function, and trust.
An Idea, a pencil sketch on a napkin, an Instagram inspiration picture, a Pinterest page, architectural drawings, or maybe just a verbal description of your vision… our starting line can be anywhere that is convenient to you.
All our projects have a list of needs and demands in order to be successful – comfort, style, durability, budget, and uniqueness among others. We take the time to find where form meets function.
The Orange Chair studio functions through 5 independently creative departments:
Design
Our team works directly with designers & end users to capture design intent, create shop drawings, and work through all iterations until final approval.
Engineering
Engineering marries design intent with design for manufacturing, setting the plan for facilitating the hand-off to our fabrication departments.
Assembly
Bringing form to life, assembly takes the puzzle pieces and creates the canvas for sewing and upholstery.
Sewing
Our world-class seamstresses’ attention to detail is often the silent magic to our finish.
Upholstery
Continuing a historic craft, our upholsterers handle all challenges presented: tufting, channels, and with our creative team strive to develop new upholstery designs in order to offer our clients something unique.
We Moved!
We didn’t go far, just across the street. As our projects grew, so did we. Orange Chair is now located at 1034 Hulbert Ave, Cincinnati, OH, in a larger, better space designed to support our team, work, and growing future.
The expansion of our space allows us to perform at a higher level than ever. With room for big ideas and the support of our team’s innovation and craftsmanship, we’re creating at our fullest potential!
